Somewhere between the olive grove & the halloumi pot…
Embrace the real Cyprus and live like a local at our agrotourism guesthouse & seasonal coliving
Aperanti Agrotourism is a traditional Cypriot stone house set in the rural village of Pera Orinis. Perfect for slow travellers and remote workers who are most alive when their hands are busy, their feet are on a trail, and the food they eat has a story.
Ciao and Yia sas!
We are Sara and Tassos, the founders of Aperanti Agrotourism. In 2010, we returned with big dreams to the Cypriot village where Tassos's family has lived for generations and by 2013, we finished restoring a traditional village home that we wanted to share with the world. Aperanti was born- a place where agrotourism visitors and seasonal colivers can experience a slower pace of life rooted in tradition and in connection to the land, while also discovering a beautiful part of Cyprus that the tourist brochures overlook.
There is something special about re-discovering traditions and doing things the old way. There is a peace of mind you get from growing your food, preparing meals from scratch, taking long walks in nature, and slowing down. Some of the experiences we share, such as making halloumi by hand, have been passed down through Tassos' family for generations. All the rest, we have learned by being curious and working alongside a community we love. If you are looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, explore off-the-beaten track places, work remotely at a gentler pace and discover authentic Cypriot traditions, Aperanti is the perfect place to be.

The House
Aperanti is a traditional stone house in the heart of Pera Orinis. Thoughtfully decorated and centered around a charming inner courtyard which gets plenty of sun even in the winter months, the house invites you to slow down, relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of rural life. Here, you will find four comfortable rooms, a bright recreational area and a spacious dining area where guests gather to enjoy farm-to-table breakfasts and dinners and shelves stocked with homemade organic jams, local olive oil and other products that celebrate the Mediterranean flavours. Our shared spaces feel like home, encourage productivity for busy remote workers, relaxation for those on a well-earned break.
Walk out the front door and the beautiful village is right there, going about its day the same way it has for generations.
