HALLOUMI MAKING WORKSHOP IN CYPRUS
Have you ever wanted to dip your hands into warm, fresh milk and learn how to make traditional Cypriot cheese? Join us for an authentic halloumi-making experience and discover a recipe that has been passed down through Tassos' family for generations. This hands-on workshop is fully interactive, giving you the opportunity to take part in every step of the process, from fresh milk to finished cheese. And the best part? You'll taste both halloumi and anari straight from the pot, while they're still warm and incredibly fresh.

TRADITIONAL CYPRIOT COOKING CLASSES
The best way to discover Cyprus is through its food. Our half-day cooking class offers a hands-on introduction to Cypriot cuisine and the traditions that surround it. Over the course of 2–3 hours, you will learn how to prepare a traditional recipe using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Depending on the season and availability, you may be making homemade ravioli, stuffed vine leaves (koupepia), or another local favourite. Sara and Maroulla will guide you through each step , sharing recipes and kitchen secrets they have learnt from years of cooking for family and friends.
As you cook, you'll learn about the ingredients, techniques, and stories behind the dishes that have been part of Cypriot family tables for generations. Once the cooking is done, sit down and enjoy the meal you have created, accompanied by a fresh village salad and a glass of local wine. A simple and delicious way to experience the flavours of Cyprus.

OLIVE HARVEST EXPERIENCE
Late autumn/early winter is the time our olives are ready to be picked. Join us for a half a day activity to learn how to make olive oil & olive products. We will collect olives from the trees in our field, take them to the local press to make fresh fragrant olive oil and have a light pic-nic in nature tasting the fresh olive oil, olives in brine, olive pies and fresh vegetables. You will also learn how to preserve olives in brine or salt. Bring home a little bottle of the olive oil we made together !

FORAGING & COOKING WITH WILD PLANTS
Step into the Cypriot countryside in late winter and spring and discover a world of seasonal wild plants, flowers, and fragrant herbs. Join us for a relaxed walk through the river valley and fields, learning about the traditional uses of local plants along the way. Then head back to Aperanti, where the real fun begins as we identify our finds and turn them into a delicious meal together. A wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, share in the joy of cooking, and savour the authentic flavours of Cyprus.

Experiences should be booked in advance, as many require preparation beforehand. For example, for our halloumi-making workshop, we reserve fresh milk from a local farm and therefore require at least 5 days' notice. We recommend booking your chosen experiences before your arrival to ensure availability and allow us to prepare everything for an authentic and enjoyable experience.
